Nikki Bowman Mills

Nikki received her bachelor's degree from West Virginia University in 1992 and her master's degree in writing and publishing from DePaul University in 1998.

Nikki is the founder and president of New South Media, the  region’s premier storytelling, content development, and multimedia publishing company that creates high caliber lifestyle, travel, and business publications for national audiences.Headquartered in Morgantown, West Virginia, New South Media is the publisher of WV Living, Morgantown, Wonderful West Virginia, and WV Weddings. Through Narrative, New South Media’s custom content creation arm, the company also produces and distributes stand-alone magazines, cookbooks, promotional materials, travel guides, custom blog and website content, and commemorative and anniversary books for clients in a wide array of industries.  A leader and a visionary, Nikki has been honored by numerous awards including the Excellence in Tourism Entrepreneurship Award; American Small Business Champion; WV Excellence in Support of the Arts; and Top Women in Media. In a presentation titled Be a Possibilitarian, Nikki discussed why she started her company, the power of stories, and why we all should be Possibilitarians.
