Erik Muendel

A graduate of James Madison University, Erik Muendel founded Remember the Miners, a nonprofit celebrating the spirit and legacy of America’s coal miners, as well as the Bob Huggins Fish Fry, an annual charity event supporting cancer research and community initiatives originally through West Virginia University athletics and now to the state at large.

Erik Muenel is a creative technologist, entrepreneur, and community builder whose work spans innovation, athletics, and the arts. He built a career leading pioneering ventures that merge technology, storytelling, and human connection.

He is the founder and CEO of several companies, including Branded Realities, a cutting-edge fan engagement platform that blends augmented reality, AI, and digital collectibles for sports and entertainment; ESP Tea & Coffee, Old Town Alexandria’s creative hub known for its world-class tea and third-wave coffee; and Galactic Panther Art Gallery, a community-driven art and music venue dedicated to supporting emerging artists and performers.  

Beyond his ventures, Erik is deeply committed to philanthropy and sports. His work reflects a lifelong passion for innovation with purpose—bridging technology, creativity, and impact to shape experiences that connect people and inspire pride in shared identity.
